Workshop: Short-form writing for public audiences
Are you working on a research subject that is timely or that could help general audiences make sense of a widely known issue? Consider writing a short piece (usually no more than 1000 words) to be published in a public-facing magazine or website. This workshop will take participants through the basics of summarizing a short-form idea (such as a book review essay, an interview, or a think-piece), identifying a target venue, and pitching or submitting the piece. Follow-up consultations will be available to participants.
